Can I get a grant for an EV charger in Enfield?+
The OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant is available if you live in a flat (leasehold or rented) or rent a house. It covers up to £350 of the install cost. We submit the claim on your behalf and deduct the grant from your invoice, so you only pay the balance.
How long does installation take in Enfield?+
Most single-charger installs take three to four hours. If your consumer unit needs an upgrade or we're running cable through a longer route, common in Edwardian terraces with side returns, allow half a day. We'll confirm timings at the site survey.
Do I need off-street parking?+
Yes. OZEV rules and local-authority regulations prohibit trailing cables across pavements. If you park on-street, a charger isn't viable under current guidance. If you have a driveway, front garden bay, or allocated parking with landlord consent, you're good to go.
What if my fuse board is old?+
Older Enfield properties, especially the 1930s semis around Bush Hill Park, often have rewireable fuse boards or no RCD protection. We'll fit a new dual-RCD consumer unit if required, or add an RCBO to an existing board. Either way, it's priced in the quote and done the same day.
